Group is a vehicle, not just to help people get along with others, which it does, but more importantly, it is a therapy that helps people identify and work with their own emotional blocks and limitations. The successful group member not only increases their capacity to relate intimately to others, but also has more inner comfort and better ability to realize their own potential: to be better able to love, work and play. Group therapy can help members take more risks, repair old relationships, create healthier new ones, be able to cultivate satisfying interests and work, and to welcome closeness – in essence, to live life more fully.
We must not cease from exploration
and the end of all our exploring
will be to arrive where we began
and to know the place for the first time.
*T.S. Eliot*
